More CAFE Programs
CAFE has developed strong relationships within the Departments of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada and Canadian Heritage. Because of our fair network which extends to communities across Canada, CAFE can engage easily with these Departments on issues and programs that are relevant to our Industry, and keep fairs, exhibitions and agricultural societies at the fore-front of their consciousness.
The CAFE National Industry Directory is an online annual publication listing contact information for all CAFE members as well as hundreds of fair dates. The directory broken down by: Industry Service Providers, Provincial Associations, Affiliate Members, and Fairs Exhibitions & Events. Only CAFE members have access to the Directory.
CAFE National Award Plaques
Distinguished Service and Order of Merit Awards are available to any member organization throughout the year. These awards are sent directly to the organization for presentation at a suitable occasion in the local community. These awards are only available for CAFE members.
CAFE offers members a listing of industry speakers who are available to attend their meetings and events and present on a variety of topics that relate to their work. The only cost is travel and accommodation for the speaker. This offer is only available for members of CAFE.
On the CAFE website there is a collection of documents, posters and forms commonly used by agricultural societies and fairs. These provide a convenient source of information for fair organizers as they go about their work. Resources include Entertainment Contracts, Exhibitor Books, Grants/Sponsorship, and many other resources to help you plan your event. To view and use these resources, your organization must be a member of CAFE.
Future Leaders Group
This is a group for fair staff or volunteers who are under the age of 40 who have shown a commitment to the fair industry…CAFE’s Future Leaders! CAFE provides them with opportunities to network and discuss issues of common interest, either in person at the CAFE Convention, on a Facebook page, or via teleconference. To be a member of the Future Leaders Group or apply for one of the three Awards being offered, your organization must be a CAFE member.
Each year CAFE collaborates with a fair or agricultural society to coordinate a convention for members of the fair and not-for-profit industries. The convention features speakers of national renown, performer showcases, an industry trade show and opportunities for networking and socializing. The 91st Annual Convention and AGM will be held at the Hyatt Regency, Montréal, QC from November 15-17, 2017!
As a CAFE member you will receive a discounted registration rate at the Annual National Convention. Delegate’s fees include all education seminars, special panel discussions, opening and closing keynote speakers, Host Night, tradeshow, showcasing, networking opportunities, all convention meals, entertainment and hospitality.
